D.2.4 Verifying an Array
The Verify function allows you to verify the data on the specified array
(RAID 3, RAID 4, RAID 5, RAID 50, and mirrored arrays only):
• RAID 3, RAID 4, RAID 5 and RAID 50: Verifies all parity blocks in the
selected array and corrects any bad parity.
• Mirrored: Compares the primary and secondary drives. If a
mismatch occurs, the primary is copied to the secondary.
You may want to verify an array when you suspect there is a problem.
To verify an array:
1. From the System Menu, select Array Menu and press <Enter>.
The Select Array screen displays with a list of existing arrays.
2. Select the array you want and press <Enter>. The Array menu
displays.
3. Select Verify Function and press <Enter>. The Verify menu displays
(Figure 108).
